Together We Succeed

Parents, Teachers & Friends Association

The Woodroffe School PTFA mobilises the energy and commitment of our parents and teachers to support the school through fundraising activities, networking events and other related projects. In addition to generating much needed funds to support key projects at the school, the PTFA plays a vital role in integrating the parent and teacher community.

More specific details regarding our meetings and activities can be found on the school’s event calendar here, or our Facebook page here .

How to Donate

Throughout the year announcements are made for specific fundraising events and programmes and we rely on parents contributing their time, money, prizes or expertise as they are able to. The school’s WisePay platform makes donating for specific events very easy.

A very simple way to help raise funds for the school on an ongoing basis is via the Giving Machine programme. Simply register for free on https://www.thegivingmachine.co.uk, nominating The Woodroffe School as your preferred cause, and each time you shop online a percentage of sales is donated to the school’s account.

The Great Gatsby Party

This year we’re celebrating 100 years of secondary education in Lyme Regis. We’re hosting a 1920s themed Gatsby Party at the Marine Theatre. Style it up with your 1920s frocks and waistcoats and join us to celebrate this historically significant anniversary.

Proceeds go to the PTFA!

How to get Involved

Over the years, the PTFA has made a vital contribution the success of the school, and we encourage every new generation of parents and teachers to become actively engaged to support the education of our children. We welcome new volunteers – either as regular members of our committee or for specific projects or events. Please email us on ptfa.secretary@woodroffe.dorset.sch.uk to register your interest.
