This press release, following the publication of GCSE and Level 2 examination results for 2024, encapsulates the excellent achievements of our students. This cohort of students have experienced disruption to their education in previous years and should be especially proud of their achievements as we are in them.
We are delighted with the excellent set of examination results achieved this year which represent performance in line with the outstanding pre-pandemic levels achieved by our students. We would like to extend our congratulations to all our wonderful students, it is well deserved.

On Friday 10th November Hugo Bugg came in to talk to art students about making a career out of their passions. We are very lucky to have so many ex Woodroffe students who have gone onto have highly successful careers in the visual arts, and Hugo, the youngest ever winner of Best in show at the Chelsea Flower Show in no exception.

On the 6th July we took the train from Axminster to Waterloo, to get a chance to soak up some urban culture and visit the Tate Modern and the newly refurbished National Portrait gallery. Students used the opportunity to find first hand and contextual references for their coursework project. The skies were blue, the exhibitions were great and whilst this one is always a long day, it often provides the basis for brilliant ideas that evolve over the next five months.

Sixth form Art, Graphics and Photography students spent three days in Cornwall this month on a residential trip designed to enhance their understanding of university life, expose them to exciting courses relevant to their studies and allow them to visit fabulous artworks first hand to get a sense of what they really look like in the flesh.
