GCSE Results 2024
We are delighted with the strong set of examination results achieved again this year. Congratulations to our fabulous students, your achievements are well deserved and represent the hard work, resilience and dedication applied throughout your examination courses.
We are incredibly proud of our students at The Woodroffe School, and we wish them the very best for the future, whether staying on into our 6th Form or following pastures new. We continue to offer our full support and assistance to all students in the coming days and weeks, following the release of the GCSE and Level 2 results.
Woodroffe has a long track record of academic excellence, and this year is no different. 78% of our students achieved at least a grade 4 in both English and Maths whilst, 61% of them achieved at least a grade 5 in both English and Maths, figures which will once again put us within the top 20% of schools nationally. Our students have achieved incredibly well across the full range of GCSE and Level 2 qualifications on offer and will continue to do so in the future.
We continue to be amazed by the resilience and perseverance shown by our students in both their academic studies and wider school life, however, we also recognise the additional anxiety caused by the examination process and thank our parents and carers for their continued support, together we succeed.
Our staff worked incredibly hard to ensure that our students were well cared for and continued to receive the best education possible. We have ensured that students have been given every chance to succeed and pursue their chosen next steps, this set of examination results allows students to do this.
Students, you have been fantastic and you should be reassured that the grades you have received today have been fully earned and are the result of your hard work, resilience and dedication. We look forward to hearing about your journey and the success you have in the future. Congratulations, enjoy today and look forward to tomorrow.

It was pleasing to see so many top grades across all subject areas and there were outstanding performances in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Ancient History and Statistics where, 100% of students achieved a grade 9 to 4, and Drama, English Language, English Literature, Graphics, History, Latin, Maths, Mandarin, Media Studies, Music and Religious Studies where, over 75% of students achieved a grade 9 to 4.
Most students will be staying to study at our successful 6th Form which achieved another very strong set of results this year. Some students, however, will be leaving Woodroffe to take places at 6th Form, college, apprenticeships, and employment. We wish them well and are confident that they are on course to succeed in their chosen fields.
We are delighted that the school year ended positively and that students were able to experience some of the key moments in their ongoing development, it was fantastic to see them enjoying time together at the leaver’s assembly, prom and seeing them celebrate their success today.

“I am immensely proud of the achievements of our Year 11 students, underpinned by their drive to succeed and their kindness and support for one another. I am excited that we will be welcoming back so many of our wonderful students to our 6th form to continue their journey with Woodroffe and wish the very best to those moving on to opportunities elsewhere. Thank you to all my Woodroffe colleagues whose professionalism, dedication and care have allowed our students to thrive in their studies this year.”
