As we begin the new half term, it is a great time to reflect on a busy and successful start to 2026, with students continuing to show resilience, positivity and pride in all they do, despite a very wet and windy winter. From lessons and sport to music, art and acts of kindness, their efforts have helped create a strong and vibrant school community, and we are very grateful to parents and carers for their ongoing support and encouragement.
We were delighted to celebrate our latest Headteacher’s Commendation winners in late February, recognising two outstanding students from each year group for their hard work, attitude and commitment. Alongside this, students have enjoyed a wide range of opportunities, including sports fixtures, STEM activities, Science Live, Ten Tors training, language speaking exams, a Sixth Form ski trip and a visit to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, all helping to build confidence, skills and ambition.
The Woodroffe Art Show at the Town Mill was once again a highlight, with visitors praising the creativity and quality of the work on display, and we look forward to more exciting events this term, including the Spring Concert. Thank you for your continued support of the school, and we hope you enjoy reading about the many achievements and experiences shared in this edition of Rough Notes.
