The Woodroffe School

Rough Notes

Together We Succeed

Rough Notes

Welcome to the latest edition of Rough Notes. December has been a magical month at Woodroffe, full of festive fun, hard work and togetherness. Even as the weather turned colder, our classrooms and activities stayed bright and busy. Students have thrown themselves into learning, celebrations and events as we head towards Christmas.

We have enjoyed many highlights this term. Our Headteacher’s Commendations celebrated students from every year group for a fantastic start to the year, with certificates, hot chocolate and cake. We also continued our long-standing support for local families through the Lyme Regis Foodbank, helping to spread kindness at Christmas. Other memorable moments included the Christmas Carol Concert at St Michael’s Church, the Year 7 pantomime trip, sports fixtures, visits to London for Classics and DT students, and outreach events with local primary schools.

Thank you to all students, staff, parents and carers for your continued support this term. It has been wonderful to see our community come together in so many ways. We hope you enjoy reading this edition of Rough Notes. Please visit our website or follow us on social media for more news and updates.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year,
Dan Watts
Headteacher
